Dustyn Lanz – Chief Executive Officer
Dustyn Lanz is Chief Executive Officer of the Responsible Investment Association (RIA). He is quoted regularly in the national media as an expert on responsible investing. He is also a frequent public speaker at some of Canada’s leading business schools and investment conferences. In 2014, he helped to launch Canada’s first financial designations for advisors with expertise in responsible investing. His written work has been published by leading academic journals and think tanks in Canada and internationally. In 2016, Dustyn received a Clean50 Emerging Leader Award for his contributions to responsible investing in Canada, and in 2018 he was appointed to Wealth Professional Magazine’s “Hot List” of 50 influencers in the Canadian investment industry. Dustyn holds a bachelor’s degree from York University and master’s degree from the University of Waterloo.

Wendy Mitchell – Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Wendy is responsible for managing all aspects of the RIA’s financial processes as well as providing board governance support and HR and operational oversight. Her focus is on providing accurate financial reporting and insightful planning support to the CEO and the Board. With a background in both finance and resource management, Wendy has worked with non-profit organizations for well over 20 years. Wendy is passionate about working with organizations to improve their triple bottom line.

Julie Ambachtsheer, CFA, RIPC – Director of Programs
Julie is Director of Programs for the Responsible Investment Association. Having undertaken a variety of roles in the investment industry – including portfolio management, trading, and performance measurement – Julie now applies this background to overseeing numerous RIA programs including research, policy and professional development. Julie earned her Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003, and recently earned her Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) Level 1, given her interest in helping individuals develop investment plans that align with their personal beliefs. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Art History from York University. Julie’s interest in financial literacy has led her to volunteer with Junior Achievement and ABC Life Literacy. Julie spent eight years with Bissett Investment Management (part of Franklin Templeton), and shorter terms with TD Bank and Acorn Financial Planning. In her spare time Julie enjoys playing tennis, traveling and watching her two young kids discover the wonders of life.

Olga Bordatcheva, CFP, RIPC – Manager, Member Relations
As Manager of Member Relations, Olga is responsible for member services and managing relationships with RIA Members to support their responsible investment efforts. She holds the Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) designation and has a background in wealth management. Olga previously worked with Scotiabank where she held various roles including Financial Planner and Financial Advisor. Olga holds a management degree with a specialization in finance from Western University, and she is passionate about promoting the integration of evironmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into Canadians’ investment decisions. Prior to entering the world of finance, Olga competed on an international level as a nationally ranked competitive swimmer. She is now involved in Masters Swimming, open water swimming, marathon running, and triathlons. Through participation in these activities, she has learned the true value of leadership, team work, and self-determination.

Nicholas Buccheri – Manager, Communications and Digital Media
Nicholas Buccheri manages the RIA’s communications efforts with a focus on digital media and content strategy. Prior to joining the RIA team, Nicholas established himself as a marketing and communications leader in the field of corporate sustainability and purpose-first business models. Nicholas has worked with organizations of all sizes, from start-up non-profits to Fortune 100 corporations, managing a variety of strategic branding and communications projects related to community investment, corporate waste reduction, responsible agriculture, solar energy and commercial real estate. He believes that responsibility and integrity in business and finance are instrumental to the transition to a low-carbon economy in Canada and around the world.

Dorothée De Angelis – Bilingual Coordinator
Dorothée’s responsibilities include administration, French communications, and executive assistance to the CEO. Dorothée plays an instrumental role in supporting the RIA’s bilingual capabilities. She has seven years of experience in analyst and client service roles in the financial sector, including positions with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Towers Watson. Dorothée holds a business degree with a specialization in finance from HEC Montreal, as well as the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) from Concordia University.
