Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor
Suite 801 1508 West Broadway
Christian Farstad builds customized, tax-efficient portfolios that rigorously reflect a client’s income, capital preservation, asset growth expectations, and tolerance for risk. He believes ‘Investment is the economic expression of your thoughts and values’ and ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors should be incorporated into the investment process for all. By reviewing these factors he can better match the client’s portfolio to their thoughts and values and, as a bonus, minimize their risk in the process.
Bringing 15 years of experience in the investment services industry, Christian is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). He is also a Licensed Life Underwriter.
A frequently quoted authority on wealth management, retirement planning and ethical investing, Christian’s views have been widely reported in The Globe and Mail, The Wall Street Journal, National Post, Vancouver Sun and Dow Jones Newswires as well as local radio stations CKNW and CISL.
Active in the community, Christian is an Olympian in the sport of Bobsleigh. He is a past President of Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton, past Executive Committee member of the Canadian Olympic Committee and currently President of Olympians Canada, the alumni association of Olympians living in Canada.
