Julie Desjardins is an independent consultant in the area of performance measurement and business reporting. Julie has authored and co-authored a number of publications on corporate reporting to capital markets and related governance, including Environmental Performance: Measuring and Managing What Matters; Management’s Discussion & Analysis Guidance on Preparation and Disclosure (2002, revised 2004); Climate Change Briefing: Questions for Directors to Ask; Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Issues in Institutional Investor Decision Making; Sustainability: Environmental and Social Issues Briefing Questions for Directors to Ask; and A Primer for Environmental and Social Disclosure. For a period in 2015-2016, Julie served as Director, Reporting & Capital Markets with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
Julie is on the board of the Responsible Investment Association and has received two Ontario order-in-council appointments to provincial committees. She is the recipient of two Governor General of Canada medals for dedication to community service.
