Emil Sirén Gualinga is a member of the Kichwa People of Sarayaku (Ecuador) and is focused on Indigenous rights and responsible business and investments. Emil was the main author of a due diligence toolkit for institutional investors focused on Indigenous rights developed in collaboration with Amazon Watch, Indigenous rights specialists, others from civil society, and investors. Emil reached out to BMO GAM to raise awareness about context specific Indigenous rights concerns in Latin America. This collaboration is a result of this engagement.
