Jean-François Bérubé is Executive Vice President at Hexavest, which he joined in 2009. He is a member of the firm’s executive team, heads the Quantitative Team , and is lead portfolio manager of the Hexavest Quantitative and Systematic strategies. Jean-François also heads the Information Technology department that develops and supports the firm’s proprietary suites of software applications for portfolio management. He is responsible for quantitative and ESG research and as such, he brings his expertise to the decision-making process of all portfolios managed by the firm. Jean François’ prior work experience includes: Quantitative Analyst at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec from 2007 to 2009, and Research Professional/Assistant at CIRANO from 1999 to 2003. His credentials include a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Université de Montréal (2007 and 2003), a M.Sc. in Economics from Université de Montréal (2000), and a B.Sc. in Economics from Université de Montréal (1999).
