Mariel is an ESG Consultant with over 5 years of strategic advisory, client relations and marketing experience. She joined Millani in early 2021 as ESG Consultant and focuses on supporting clients in identifying, understanding, and disclosing on their top material environmental, social and governance issues. Within her role at Millani, she was also a member of the Working Group which launched Climate Engagement Canada, a Canadian finance-led engagement initiative focused on promoting a just transition to a net zero economy. Prior to joining Millani, she provided strategic support to companies in the social impact and sustainability sectors, working with clients based in South Africa, France, the UK and Canada. She also accompanied many Fortune 500 clients in the strategic development and launch of their pan-Canadian marketing campaigns. Mariel helped launch the first Net Impact chapter for professionals in Montreal and presided over the Net Impact McGill chapter during her MBA.
Mariel has a B.Com. in Marketing and International Business from Concordia University, and an MBA from McGill University.
