Sarah is responsible for social equality-related stewardship activities at BMO GAM. She engages directly with rightsholders and/or their representatives in addition to investee companies, policy makers, portfolio managers, bankers, and other key stakeholders to promote responsible business practices that align with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Sarah is a mom to three teens. Prior to joining BMO GAM in 2022, she was a child welfare worker for 15 years and volunteered in refugee settlement as well as communications and advocacy for First Nations in northern Ontario. She has undergraduate degrees in the humanities and applied arts and master’s degrees in social work and business administration.
