This session will look at how to respond to incidents of non-inclusive language and behaviour (such as racist or sexist comments or humour, microaggressions, and other forms of unintended discriminatory behaviour) in the community and the workplace. It will also provide an understanding of “unearned advantage”, and the responsibility in using one’s unearned advantage to undo patterns of social inequity.
